This resilient female reef manta ray (MV-MA-0055) was first identified in 2005 and has been sighted 107 times since. She bears scars from a boat strike on her back and fishing line entanglement on her cephalic fin, yet continues to thrive, having been observed pregnant four times.

She has been named in memory of Tonie Kalena Kattil-DeBrum, an inspiring marine scientist from the Marshall Islands, as part of a special Manta Trust x Girls That Scuba adoption.
